Choose a finish for how you use the space
Compare texture, appearance and care together before selecting a finish.

Start with use and exposure
A shaded walkway and a driveway used by vehicles present different needs. Explain how people will use the area, where water reaches it and what cleaning you can realistically maintain. Ask the provider to explain suitable options.
Ask for a sample and a written description
Record the selected color, texture, pattern and edge detail. Ask how variation, joints and transitions will look. Photographs help communicate a direction, but they do not guarantee an identical result at your property.
Discuss care before signing
Ask about cleaning products, sealing needs and restrictions after installation. Clarify who provides care instructions and whether any continuing maintenance is part of the proposal. A decorative finish does not remove the need for proper base and drainage planning.
